A Parish Councillor is someone who is interested in the area they live and wants to look after the interests of the people who live in that area.

A Parish Council is the first tier of Local Government and is consulted on any issues in their area.
What does is involve?
Meetings are usually every other month and regular attendance is recommended.
Is the role paid?
The role is purely voluntary although agreed expenses are reimbursed.
